Bullet list due today by 8 AM.

Wed

Exposition: Exposition is key to our sense of the world in the novel, what it looks like, when it occurred, who inhabits it.  It grounds the reader into the place of the narrative.  How does Twain create a sense of time, place and character from the very start of the novel?

Reread Chapter 1 of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.  Read the work and really try to get to know Huck.  What are the attributes of Huck's character?  What makes Huck a qualified narrator of this work?  What attributes does Huck evidence that makes him effective voice for this odyssey?

  • Exposition: Meet Huck Finn.  Answer today's question with a formal academic response of two paragraphs.  Make sure you support your claims with evidence (cite) and make sure you include at least one rhetorical element that explains HOW your claim plays out.  This is due on Friday by 8 AM. Upload your response in Google Classroom.
